Catalina is currently working as part of a clinical research team as a DBT Research Officer, focusing on the evaluation of the effectiveness, the implementation, and the economic effectiveness of the National Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Project, Ireland. She holds a BA International in Psychology from University College Dublin and an MSc in Applied (Clinical) Psychology from Trinity College Dublin. Catalina has a strong interest in evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, in clinical research with relevance to national policies and service evaluation, and in youth mental health. She has worked in large scale studies such as the ‘My World Survey’ study and the ‘Growing Up In Ireland’ study, and service evaluation projects in the areas of inpatient youth mental health and suicide prevention.
