Project Overview

Let’s Talk About Suicide, provided by the Health Service Executive National Office for Suicide Prevention (HSE NOSP), is a free online suicide prevention training programme open to anyone over the age of 18.

The programme involves four stages and, in total, takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. The aim of the programme is to equip participants with skills to help keep others safe from suicide.

The National Office for Suicide Prevention (NOSP) commissioned the NSRF to undertake an evaluation of Let’s Talk About Suicide to examine the programme’s effectiveness and acceptability for participants.

Project Aims

· Explore who is accessing and completing Let’s Talk About Suicide online training programme.

· Assess the programme’s effectiveness on increasing participants’ awareness, knowledge, and confidence in relation to suicide prevention

· Examine the accessibility and acceptability of the programme to participants, and explore improvements

· Explore the impact of the programme on behavioural change.
