Young people’s voices are often missing from decisions about suicide prevention and online safety—especially as conversations continue about tighter regulation and potential age‑based restrictions on social media.
The National Suicide Research Foundation and The School of Public Health UCC are inviting young adults aged 18–25 and who are living in Ireland, to take part in a one‑off 30-40 minute focus group exploring:
💠 the perceived risks and benefits of social media, and of a social media ban
💠 online safety priority areas young people consider most important for preventing suicide and self-harm
✅ No expertise required — just your honest views
✅ One session, approx. 30-40 minutes
✅ Confidential, voluntary, and ethically approved
